RALPH LAUREN – Spring – Summer 2021 Sizzle Video

Nice little project to work on from lockdown… I created an audio bed, timed out the structure and animated all the elements to create a 2 minute sizzle reel highlighting the upcoming collections for 2021 for Ralph Lauren. Sadly it’s all so secret I can’t show you anything! So you’ll have to make do with these frames from the intro and have to take my word for it about the rest, sorry.

SAATCHI GALLERY – Beyond The Road (behind the scenes)

I created these videos for the one year anniversary of the exhibition BEYOND THE ROAD at Saatchi Gallery, a collaboration between Colin Nightingale & Stephen Dobbie (Punchdrunk) and James Lavelle (UNKLE).

UAL – On-Screen Branding Motion Assets

Working closely with the UAL Design Department I created a suite of on-screen motion assets for them to use across all video and social media. Sticking as closely as possible to their simple yet bold brand guidelines to create a clean and versatile kit of parts.

Satore wanted to highlight some of the great projects they’ve been working on, so gave me a pretty open brief with this one…

I cut the audio bed, edited the video and created the motion GFX for this neat little edit.

SATORE STUDIO – ‘Cosmos Within Us’ [Trailers]

Two trailers (teaser & main) and a look behind the scenes I created with Satore Studio for their incredible VR / Live Performance project ‘Cosmos Within Us’ directed by Tupac Martir. Created using Premiere Pro with some extra motion graphics work done in After Effects, it was also cool to play around with Steven Weston’s original music stems to create the soundbeds for the trailers.

UNKLE – ‘Feel More / With Less’ Music Video

Collaborating with director Tupac Martir for Satore Studio, I was lucky enough to work on this video adapting his earlier work with dancer Sonya Cullingford to create visuals for the band’s live performances by editing, overlaying and time-remapping various individual animated performances into one piece. This then became the official music video for the wonderful UNKLE song, taken from the album The Road: Part II (Lost Highway).

SAATCHI GALLERY – Beyond The Road (exhibition)

Working closely with James Lavelle, Stephen Dobbie & Colin Nightingale, I created 2 videos for the Beyond The Road Exhibition at Saatchi Gallery summer 2019. The first piece was an installation-centered video using footage from Alfonso Cuaron’s ROMA, cut to the UNKLE track inspired by the film ‘On My Knees’ feat Michael Kiwanuka. The piece is projected onto a large ‘floating’ screen in the centre of dark room, where a full 360 audio set up surrounds the viewer with a specially curated version of the music, combined with sound effects that mesh together to immerse in all directions. I also created an immersive colour-based installation for the same room, that acted as a visual ‘palette cleanser’ between the showings of the other films.

The second video was a 30 minute installation piece, featuring footage from the Danny Boyle directed series TRUST, combined with static noise, TV glitches and other effects. To create a bewildering but evolving visual accompaniment to the 360 audio of the room it was playing in. The video was housed in an old TV in the corner of one of the rooms, with key aspects of the soundtrack like lyrics coming out of the actual TV’s speaker while the rest of the music filled the surrounding space from various other speakers.

SAATCHI GALLERY – Beyond The Road (trailers)

I created these trailers to promote the new exhibition BEYOND THE ROAD at Saatchi Gallery. A collaboration between Colin Nightingale & Stephen Dobbie (Punchdrunk) and James Lavelle (UNKLE), the exhibition is a deep & mysterious experience in deconstructing music and imagery to create a unique and enlightening atmosphere. With no footage or artwork to be used, we instead focused on the imagery of the arch (the emblem of the show) and the idea of passing from one world to another. I was lucky enough to be able to create a bespoke audio bed for the trailer, intending to allude to the unique atmosphere of the installation using the many separate music stems of UNKLE’s track ‘Ar.Mour’ to create a de-constructed but eventually cohesive sense of progression.

WARNER BROS – Wonder Woman DOOH Global Campaign

For this huge project for Warner Brothers International, we created the key Digital Out Of Home assets (incorporating video edit, motion posters and other GFX elements) for the biggest Superhero Movie of the year. These many assets were then adapted for use throughout the world. Highlight reel of the campaign below:

UNKLE – Kubrick Live Visuals

Working alongside UNKLE founder James Lavelle, we wanted to create a series of bespoke visuals for a special one-off live performance by the band celebrating the Daydreaming With… Stanley Kubrick Exhibition at Somerset House. The visuals were based around iconic scenes from various Kubrick films, using additional editing, animation and effects to really bring the footage & music together for a true audio visual experience.
